Australia's Daniel Ricciardo finds himself replacing fellow Aussie Mark Webber as Red Bull Racing's number two driver for the 2014 season after two seasons at sister team Toro Rosso. Only 24-years-old, Ricciardo started his Formula 1 career as a test and reserve driver for Red Bull and Toro Rosso in 2010 before being signed as a race driver for HRT in 2011. In 2012 Ricciardo moved to Toro Rosso to partner Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne, scoring his first World Championship points at that year's Australian Grand Prix.
After a number of impressive performances, particularly in qualifying, Ricciardo was tabbed to take the number two spot at Red Bull following Mark Webber's retirement.
2014 will be an exciting season for Ricciardo fans as the young Australian now finds himself in top-level machinery with accompanying high expectations. Expect the young Aussie to give Australian sports fans something to cheer about in 2014!
