The mission of Klingler College of Art and sciences at Marquette University has always been to serve our students in order to enhance the advancement of their knowledge. We believe in the search for truth, the discovery and sharing of knowledge, fostering of personal and professional excellence, and the development of leadership expressed in service to others.
In the preparation process for post graduation (ranging from graduation school, professional, as well as medical school), experience is key to success for any future careers. That being said, shadowing a physician is considered an important part of the pre-medical experience. Though the experience is not explicitly required by most medical schools, it is strongly advised and encouraged to have some experience shadowing a practicing physician before applying to medical school. Most medical schools strongly recommend shadowing as a way to know what profession the students are getting themselves into. In addition to that, much of the education in medical school will be built upon observation in clinical settings. Therefore, physician
shadowing will allow pre-medical student to fully understand how to observe the details of what
takes place, how healthcare personnel work together, how physicians conduct health histories, as well as how they interact with patients.
On my behalf as the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Marquette University, I have agreed that the Police General Hospital is a remarkable hospital that would allow our student to exceed in her ability in becoming a distinguished leader, and honorable future physician in the future. Therefore, I would be highly grateful if the hospital would extend an invitation for Mrs. Saengrawee Sintananukul to have access to physician shadowing at the hospital between the month of June – July 2017. Thank you for your time and consideration
