OK before we get into "is your monitor profiled?" yes, been using a full color managed workflow (colormunki/custom printer profile etc) for over a decade. Never saw this problem with windows 7 and I'm talking about images in sRGB color space, so even non-color managed apps shouldn't be doing anything this drastic. I am using an Asus pro-art monitor which has a pretty wide gamut.

The problem I am seeing, both the file browser (explorer) and the image viewer show all my images as being really over saturated (Red channel looks boosted?), people have orange skin etc. I've downloaded test images from Fuji and others, they all do this too. The images look fine in chrome, PS, my email software, on my phone when sent there and other photo editing apps but the default UI for win10 looks horrible.

1) My concern is when sending proofs to people, if they are using windows 10, what are they gonna be seeing? I have noticed if I drag the viewer to my second monitor, which is a narrow gamut one, they look more normal. So can I then assume this is what most people will be seeing?

2) Is there anyway to fix this default this over-saturation of images in windows 10 interface? I have an nvidia card and everything adjustable in the driver changes -everything-, including how images in all apps are displayed. So any setting would have to be in windows I would assume?
