มีกระต่ายตัวหนึ่ง นึกที่จะแข่งวิ่ง เลยชวนเพื่อนๆที่อาศัยอยู่ในป่าเดียวมาแข่งวิ่ง แต่ไม่มีใครมีเวลาแข่งวิ่งกับกระต่ายเลย กระต่ายจึงเดินต่อไป เพื่อที่จะหาเพื่อนมาแข่งวิ่งกับมันให้ได้ และแล้วมันก็เจอกับเต่าตัวหนึ่ง เลยชวนเต่าแข่งวิ่งกับมัน เต่าตอบตกลงที่จะแข่งวิ่งกับกระต่าย กระต่ายจึงให้เต่าวิ่งนำไปก่อนล่วงหน้า โดยมีเพื่อนๆในป่าคอยเป็นพยาณ ทันใดนั้นกระต่ายก็เผลอหลับไป โดยที่เต่าพยามเร่งเดินให้เร็วที่สุด และในที่สุดเต่าก็ใกล้ถึงเส้นชัย กระต่ายรีบลุกขึ้นวิ่งสุดชีวิต แต่ก็ไม่ทันการณ์ และแล้วเต่าก็ถึงเส้นชัย
นิทานเรื่องนี้ สอนให้รู้ว่า........
