i had a very good stay at the Mandarin Hotel, staff was mostly excellent, friendly and very attentive. the gym, which i used almost every day of my stay there, was well equipped. the breakfast buffet was very nice with a wide variety of food. all you can ask for and more. rooms were a bit small, but thats ok for me. nice high standard and very clean. the only bad thing about the rooms were that there was no isolation between the door and the floor (about a centimeter gap there) so all the sounds from corridor (slamming doors and such) came right into my room and woke me up sometimes.+ the wifi wasn't too good either. nevertheless, the location was very good...near Silom and Surawong Road, with all its plentiful entertainment, nightlife and restaurants. it's also pretty close to Chinatown.
