A Leicester City fan who grew up in the county has sold his motorbike in order to fly back from Uganda for this season’s last home game tomorrow. However, he has not yet managed to get his hands on a ticket.
Tom Gill, 30, who grew up in Kirby Muxloe, now lives in Uganda where he runs a charity called East African Playgrounds, building playgrounds and running play sessions for youngsters, with his wife Carla, 28.
He said as soon as the final whistle blew at the Chelsea vs Tottenham game on Monday, at about 1am Ugandan time, as Leicester became Premier League Champions, he knew he wanted to come home for tomorrow’s game against Everton.
“I woke up the next morning, spoke to my wife, I had a look at flights and worked out if I sold my motorbike I could buy flights back.
