Applicants require a good (2.1 or above) Honours degree in psychology, child development, education, social work, related social science or health care discipline. Students will also usually be expected to be at least 25 years of age on entry and have at least 2 years postgraduation work experience. Exceptional candidates who do not fulfil this requirement are considered on their merits on an individual basis. Successful applicants are required to take an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check. Equivalent international qualifications are accepted and applicants require an English level of IELTS 6.5, or equivalent qualification. Suitable applicants will be interviewed to assess suitability for training.
