RMUTP คิดดี ทำดี…เพื่อสังคม” จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 18-20 มกราคม 2559 การจัดงานในครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นการกระตุ้นจิตสำนึก ปลูกฝั่งคุณธรรม จริยธรรมของบุคลากร นักศึกษา นอกจากนี้มหาวิทยาลัยให้ความสำคัญกับบุคคลที่คิดดี ทำดีอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยมอบรางวัลกับผู้ทำคุณประโยชน์ให้แก่มหาวิทยาลัย บุคคลดีเด่น ศิษย์เก่าดีเด่น เป็นต้น ซึ่งเชื่อว่ารางวัลดังกล่าวจะเป็นกำลังใจให้กับทุกคนคิดดี ทำดี เพื่อสังคม

สิ่งสำคัญของการจัดงานครั้งนี้คือการบูรณาการองค์ความรู้ทางด้านวิชาการ การจัดการเรียนการสอน งานวิจัย การบริการสังคมและด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม เพื่อตอกย้ำการเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำ ด้านการผลิตบัณฑิตมืออาชีพ และพร้อมก้าวเข้าสู่มหาวิทยาลัยดิจิทัลด้วยการนำระบบเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศมาใช้ในกระบวนการเรียนการสอน ทั้งนี้ตลอด 3 วันที่จัดกิจกรรมดังกล่าว ทุกหน่วยงานของมหาวิทยาลัยได้ระดมกำลังจัดกิจกรรมที่น่าสนใจต่างๆ ขึ้น เช่น การมอบรางวัลเพื่อประกาศเกียรติคุณให้แก่ผู้ทำคุณประโยชน์ให้มหาวิทยาลัย งานนิทรรศการผลงานทางวิชาการและวิจัย จากทั้ง 9 คณะของมหาวิทยาลัย การบริการวิชาการแก่สังคม รวมไปถึงกิจกรรมอบรมที่น่าสนใจ และเปิดให้มีเวทีการประกวดสำหรับนักเรียนในระดับมัธยมศึกษา อาทิ การประกวดสื่อสร้างสรรค์ ประเภทสื่อโฆษณาเพื่อรณรงค์ทางสังคม (Social Campaign Advertising) ทางโทรทัศน์ การประกวดจินตลีลาชิงถ้วยพระราชทาน สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ การประกวดแข่งขันทักษะวิชาชีพฯ การแข่งขันหุ่นยนต์ และการแข่งขันตอบปัญหาทางวัสดุศาสตร์ เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้ในช่วงเย็นยังได้จัดการแสดงคอนเสิร์ตศิลปินชื่อดัง เพื่อให้บุคลากร นักศึกษาและบุคคลทั่วไปได้สนุกสนานร่วมกัน นับเป็นการจัดงานที่ครบรสทั้งสาระและความบันเทิง
