การวิจัยเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของพนักงานในการปฏิบัติงานของธนาคารออมสิน ภาค16 สาขาถนนราษฎร์อุทิศจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานีและ 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความพึงพอใจในการปฎิบัติงานของพนักงานธนาคารออมสิน ภาค16 สาขาถนนราษฎร์อุทิศจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานีจำแนกตามปัจจัยพื้นฐานส่วนบุคคลกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้คือพนักงานธนาคารออมสิน ภาค16 สาขาถนนราษฎร์อุทิศจำนวน 369 คนเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือแบบสอบถาม (แบบสอบถาม) (โปรแกรม) และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำเร็จรูปทางสถิติซึ่งสถิติที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลคือค่าร้อยละค่าเฉลี่ยและส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและทดสอบสมมติฐานโดยใช้ค่าสถิติ t-ทดสอบและค่าสถิติทดสอบหรือความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนแบบทางเดียว) และทดสอบค่าเฉลี่ยความแตกต่างรายคู่ด้วยวิธี LSD ที่ระดับในสำคัญทางสถิติที่ 0.5
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
1. พนักงานมีความพึงพอใจในการปฎิบัติงานในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลางและเมื่อพิจารณารายด้านพบว่าอยู่ในระดับมากคือด้านความงามสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเพื่อนร่วมงานและอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง 6 ด้านโดยเรียงลำดับค่าเฉลี่ยจากมากไปหาน้อยคือด้านความมั่นคงในการทำงานด้านนโยบายและการบริหารด้านการปกครองบังคับบัญชาด้านสวัสดิการด้านสภาพแวดล้อมในการทำงานและด้านค่าตอบแทน
2. พนักงานที่มีปัจจัยพื้นฐานส่วนบุคคลซึ่งประกอบด้วยระดับการศึกษาและรายได้เฉลี่ยต่อเดือนต่างกันมีความพึงพอใจในการปฏิบัติงานในภาพรวมแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ.05 ส่วนเพศอายุและระยะเวลาการปฏิบัติงานต่างกันมีความพึงพอใจในการปฏิบัติงานในภาพรวมไม่แตกต่างกัน
