Ferric reducing antioxidant power assay (FRAP assay) is a method to determine the reducing power of antioxidant sample from the reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+ resulting in the change of color from yellow to blue. This blue solution i.e. Fe2+-TPTZ complex, absorbed the visible light at 593 nm. It is worthy to note that the reducing power capacity of compound may serve as a significant indicator of its potential antioxidant activity.
