ova
following gamma radiation, Shamma and Al-Adawi (2002)
found that a dose as high as 1.5KGy was needed to cause
observable morphological damage to the inner contents of
the ova but not to the outer chitinic layer of the ova.
However, a dose of 500 Gy was sufficient to cause death of
all larvae inside the ova.
