International commission on illumination or CIE was used to measuring color of compound. S-Nap6 emits the blue photoluminescence in solution and emits the green photoluminescence in solid state. The photoluminescence spectrum of S-Nap6 in solution state obtained upon excitation at 317 nm shows an emission band ranging from 350-700 nm with maximum emission intensity at 370 nm. It can be concluded that it depened on the distance of the gold atom because in solid state interaction between gold atom was closely whereas in solution the gold atom was separated by dichloromethane.
