Acrobat reader closes after less than 1 second

With Windows 10, Acrobat reader closes after 1 sec., either being launched from the start menu or from a pdf file.
No error message or popup displayed.
I tried to uninstall/reinstall, but the situation is still the same.

Hi tfanion,

Please provide the exact dot version of the software & OS installed at your system .Also check whether is there any update available for the software after going through "help > check for updates "
Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat software ;- https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1595848
Then open Acrobat, navigate to Help menu & repair the installation.
If issue still persist check with the compatibility mode for Acrobat Reader, If any compatibility mode is checked make it uncheck. Then Run the software as Administrator.
If issue still persist please check with the different user account as well referring to this KB article :- https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/create-local-administrator-account-windows.html

Acrobat Reader version is 15.010.20065. Updates managed by Acrobat are unavailable as the program doesn't open (my main problem ...). Last uninstall/install : january 30th.

Then open Acrobat, navigate to Help menu & repair the installation.
C:Users\AppDataRoamingAdobeAcrobatDC is empty. I removed the DC directory : still the same (but DC is created by Reader). I removed again, went to control panel>programs to launch the "repair" process (once again, I couldn't do it from Acrobat as it doesn't open ...) : still the same.
If issue still persist check with the compatibility mode for Acrobat Reader, If any compatibility mode is checked make it uncheck. Then Run the software as Administrator.
Properties of AcroRd32.exe shows no compatibility mode selected. If I run as administrator, nothing appens (no window opened). I tried also from command line as admin : same (no error displayed).

The KB seems to apply to Windows Vista/7/8, but not 10.
But my user account is already local & adminnistrator.

Would suggest you to check with different user account to just check whether is there something wrong with the permissions for this profile on the system .
