A TVII 3D display which consists of a display panel and a micro-lens array is proposed. The EIA of the TVII 3D display is composed of three sub-EIAs which are captured from three different scenes.Lights emitted from the left, middle and right SEIAs are modulated into the left-, middle- and right-view II viewing zones to recon-struct three orthoscopic 3D images, respectively. A prototype of the TVII 3D display is developed and three different 3D images are simultaneously obtained in the left, middle and right viewing directions. The TVII 3D display is easily convertible to mono-view or dual-view II 3D display by capturing sub-EIAs from one or two scenes and it has great potential applications in 3D displays.
