I guess I had low expectations for this hotel because of the staff reviews. It appeared that at one time the staff were not helpful or rude. My experience was the opposite. All staff were friendly, attentive and made every effort to help when they could. Every morning when we exited the hotel the bell boy would ask where we were going and suggest ways to get there. He didn't even seem to have self interest like many in Bangkok that want to send you to a yuk yuk or taxi that they will get paid off by. He actually told us not to get one outside the hotel but to cross the street and grab a cab. The hotel was walkable to MBK and surrounding Siam shopping area but was only about a 40-50 B taxi if you didn't want to walk. They also provided a free shuttle but not until 12pm. There was also a night market near by that staff will direct you to. The rooms seemed clean and toilets were super high tech and clean. The king size bed was a bit funny as others have said with two twins pushed together. They were a bit hard but not as bad as some Thai beds and overall I slept well on them. We did have a 12th floor room and the view was nice. Overall, great value but I wouldn't necessarily book here if the hotel was main focus. I just needed to be close to shopping for a few days before leaving Bangkok.
