All of the previous comment s are 100% true. Firstly on a positive note, the boat rooms are adorable.The bathrooms set in a rock garden,the view from the front ones is spectacular
We were zipping around on scooters and happened apon this place.Met a friendly Thai who touted the place. WIFI, movie room, bar, chiilled evenings with others playing pool , fishing straight off the jetty, relaxed and quiet-we wont want to leave.
1) The manager has mental issues, especially anger managment-he is rude, demands money off you and is agressive-He is by far the most jilted Thai i hae ever met-and i ave been all over thailand many many times.!!!
2) The WIFI isnt free,, infact it is by far the most expensive in all of thailand--no to mention its pretty much is slow and hmm well doesnt work at all--(mind you i observed the manger on his computer and he didnt seem to have any issues with the internet at all,,in fact it was fast.??)
3)The movie room has only thai channels,,and the movies that are advertised for the night viewing dont even exist--if you ask about it you will be yelled at by the manager-and the only movies available are all in thai too.....I'm pretty sure that it's the mangers own living room and he doesnt want to please anyone or share.
4)We arrived and we got ripped off ---1000 bht,for transport there,it was suposed to be a free pick - up..the manger of course upon arriving demanded this cash aggresively on the spot.
5)We noticed NO ONE else there-- everyone else has left !!!
6)The bar area and pool table was fully occupied by the Thai staff,,none of which were friendly(and few spoke any english--but could sneer very well)
7) And this one is important!! yes there is the poor monkey tied up and sad--its a disgusting sight,, there are the dogs that are kept locked in a cage and allowed out to roam of an evening-barking a fighting., there is a type of rodant kept in a cage too......BUT there is also 2 roosters that roam free.
You may not know this until about 3 or 4am..when it is outside your window crowing!!! for hours,HINT: get a handful of rocks ready before sleep...have ready the throw around 3 or 4.,, and 5, and 6am
When i asked the 'Manager ' whats the storey,,,__ he say,'I SAY THIS ONCE..these my pets,,,get used to it they do every morning,, no sorry!!!! I only say once"!!
He wasn't too happy with my suggestion of having a chicken for breakfast that day!!
My reply was thats OK,,i'll only have to say all this once on Trip advisor--he didnt like that either!!
8) My son stayed in the tree house,,at first it looked fun and different---warning,,it is in a state of very bad disrepair--dangerous and rotting--its very high up and a long way down!!
He had a large RAT in his room,,it ate through his bag and shoes and tshirts,,we know rats and have seen many--this was LARGE!
9)THE MOST EXPENSIVE FOOD AND DRINK IN ALL THAILAND.
small signha beer 90bht ( compared with 35 in 7-11 or 60/70 else where) the food is 150 bht for the most miniture plate of anything..Spaggetti out of the tin, only half or less of a small tin., not hot on bread not toasted,,, and dumped in frount of you my -- yes you guessed it,,'OTTO' the manager with his sneer and attitude.
Oh and dont believe the web site-- not much actual thai food here--more tinned or easy made ,,eggs, spagetti , tuna sanwich ect

It is so very very unfortunate that this place is run by this appalling service and attitude.This place has the making of a something very unique ,under better rule this place could be somthing awsome, We grinned and it stuck out for 3 nights, we ignored the managers attitude,,ate else where,,(if you have a scooter you can run up the road to somewonderful cliff top cafes,or into old town for great meals)..We relaxed and read books , i prepared my rocks of an evening for the morning rooster hunt,,I learned to give Otto back the same attitude he gave.
I laughed after a while at the way he chased off customers before they were even in the door-most peoples response is positive until approached.

I'm not sure but I was told he may be the owners son...I think mummy and Daddy better come and sack little Ott's butt.He is treating this place like his own domain.It couldnt possibly be making money(yett has the ability too).

I met up with the fellow who we first Met and sold us the place-He appologised to me before I had talked to him-he said everyone leaves there,and he was getting come commission off the price.
